The Bryant Dent Foundation was created for the purpose of helping paraplegics and quadriplegics in Southern Maryland become more independent from caregivers. Bryant Dent is the face of the foundation. It is his idea and his desire to help paraplegics and quadriplegics. It is his desire to educate paraplegics and quadriplegics as to the benefits that are available for them as well as encourage them and their families to live as full a life as possible.
The Bryant Dent Foundation is actively accepting applications for those paraplegics and quadriplegics living in Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary’s Counties. The application can be downloaded at the bottom of the page. The Foundation will review the application and rate your application based upon your medical and financial needs. For the selection procedure please contact the foundation.
The benefits for paraplegics and quadriplegics offered by the Foundation will include educating the client on the possibilities that are available. These possibilities may include but are not limited to rehabilitation options, insurance benefits, medical assistance benefits, financial planning, and help regaining independence from caregivers. Further benefits could include the loaning of medical equipment (not provided by your insurance provider) that will enable the client to live a more independent life from caregivers or equipment that will enhance the quality of life for the client. The Foundation may help some with financial assistance; however, the Foundation will not provide a client with direct cash payments. The foundation will also assist in the areas of vocational training by helping the client find and gain access to the type of training you want. The Foundation will attempt to help the client lead a satisfying and fulfilling life.
